Oklahoma Health Care Authority

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) is the primary entity in the state of Oklahoma charged with controlling costs of state-purchased health care. In 1995, the organization began its mission as the single state Medicaid agency. Also mandated at that time, was the conversion of the Oklahoma Medicaid program from fee-for-service to a statewide comprehensive system of managed care delivery.
