History
Oklahoma Joe's began in 1987 when Joe Davidson, a welder by trade, took 12 smokers to sell at the state fair. When the smoke had cleared, he had sold all the smokers, and had orders for 108 more. Thus, Oklahoma Joe's was born. Joe began competing in barbecue competitions all over the world to promote his smokers. Over the years, Joe has earned over 300 championship titles making him the most decorated barbecue competitor in Oklahoma to date. Suppliers and vendors who knew the OKJ's brand always wanted to try Joe' s famous 'que, and it eventually became too much to cook in the parking lot of the manufacturing facility every weekend. In 1995 Joe decided to open the first Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue and Catering in Stillwater, OK. Oklahoma Joe's - South Tulsa was opened in 2016 to the delight of the community.

Oklahoma Joe's serves barbecue that is award-winning across the board! We are proud to serve every menu item, but there are a few that stand out more than others. If you want to try the most decadent, rich, meat candy (as Joe likes to call it) you've gotta try the Burnt Ends. If you want more traditional barbecue fare, you can't go wrong with a rack of ribs, a brisket dinner, or one of our amazing sandwiches.
