The Oklahoma Historical Society preserves and shares the history of Oklahoma and its people. It manages a more than 215,000-square-foot history center that explores Oklahoma s unique history in relation to its geology, transportation, commerce, culture, aviation and heritage. The society also operates a research center that features an extensive collection of books, microfilms, manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, films and newspapers, as well as numerous resources for genealogical research. The Oklahoma Historical Society additionally maintains an active publications program that offers a scholarly journal, monthly newsletter, and various books and research guides. Located in Oklahoma City, the society also has an online store that offers maps, event tickets and apparel.
