Martha's Foundation Incorporated
Martha's Foundation Incorporated is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 2010 by Myrtle Watson, a former nurse and educator, the foundation is dedicated to nurturing, educating, supporting, and empowering teen mothers between the ages of 16-18 and their unborn children. Through partnerships with local and national corporations and organizations, Martha's Foundation aims to address the critical needs of teen moms, including homelessness, abuse, neglect, and lack of appropriate family support. Their upcoming family-centered home, set to open in the fall of 2020, will provide a supervised environment for these young mothers to become independent and productive community members. Martha's Foundation's mission is to empower and transform the lives of teen mothers and their children by providing programming and resources that promote educational achievement, home economics, case management, healthcare, and participation in daily activities. With a focus on first-time pregnant and parenting teens, homeless teens lacking stable housing, victims of abuse and neglect, DHS foster program clients, and girls living in unhealthy home environments, Martha's Foundation strives to create a supportive and nurturing environment where these young mothers can thrive. Through the leadership of their Board of Directors, dedicated staff and volunteers, and the generosity of the community, Martha's Foundation is committed to serving some of Oklahoma's most vulnerable children, youth, and families.Generated from the website
