Founded in 1941, the Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa offers community-based planning services to prevent and address health and human services in the state of Oklahoma. The council provides community research and planning related to trend analysis, data for decision-making, policy and resource management, mobilizes community action, supports community partnerships, develops and coordinates services and systems. In addition, its activities include study groups, data reports, research and recommendations for action, resource development, demonstration projects, coalitions and task forces, and conferences, training and consultation. It offers prevention of problems, including substance and child abuse, gangs, drunk driving, homelessness and HIV/AIDS. The Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa maintains an office in Tulsa, Okla.
