Established in 1969, Wood County Board of Mental Retardation is a nonprofit corporation, and is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. Its workshop adults with developmental disabilities who complete assembly work, such as sorting, packaging, assembly, disassembly, confidential document destruction and button manufacturing. Its early intervention program is for children up to 3 years of age with developmental delay. The program offers services, such as occupational and physical therapies, community education, music, behavioral support, service coordination, adaptive physical education, nursing, vocational training and job development. Its staff includes teachers, habilitation specialists, job coaches and occupational therapists. Its transportation vehicles are approved by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
