Delaware Area Career Center, established in 1974, provides career training and academic instruction to more than 650 high school juniors and seniors. The career center also offers a wide range of adult education programs in career development and enrichment. Located in Delaware, Ohio, the center serves students from various districts, such as Delaware City, Big Walnut, Buckeye Valley and Olentangy. Delaware Area Career Center also participates in open enrollment to students from outside of Delaware County. Its high school courses include subjects, such as automotive technologies, collision repair, equine science, health technologies and sheet metal fabrication. Delaware Area Career Center also provides customized office skills training in areas, such as imaging and editing, spreadsheet applications, exploring the Internet, database applications, information management, presentation graphics, publishing and Web page authoring.
