Theodore Roosevelt High School is a college preparatory high school offering education and enrichment services to more than 1,400 students in grades nine through 12. It offers courses in various subjects, such as art, speech, drama, journalism, music, foreign languages, math, English, science and social studies. It additionally offers advanced placement programs, extracurricular activities and sports. The school also provides career education programs through the District Educational Compact, including the Manufacturing and Pre-Engineering Academy and a Technical preparatory program Its technology course offerings include digital photography, networking, desktop publishing and software applications and Certified CISCO Networking Academy programs. It provides vocal and instrumental music programs that include orchestra, marching band, wind symphony and concert band. The school also provides a weight room and fitness center and a media center with Internet access and a large collection of books and journals. Its career center offers guidance and information on scholarship and financial assistance. The school is operated by Kent City Schools and is located in Kent, Ohio.
