Founded in 1985, Tender Mercies provides housing and related services to homeless persons with emotional and mental disabilities. The organization works in partnership with Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) to operate the Projects for Assistance in the Transition from Homelessness program (PATH). Its program expands the outreach services for individuals with mental illness found in shelters, soup kitchens, parks and streets. Tender Mercies provides permanent housing in five of its six buildings. Its permanent housing program offers independent, community-based living for as long as the resident needs a home. Tender Mercies offers case management, health care, payee, employment and psychiatric services from community agencies. The organization is located in Cincinnati.
