Chaco Credit Union was started in 1938, the product of a simple loan between workers at the Champion paper mill in Hamilton, Ohio. Chaco Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships in Butler County, Ohio, any family member of a current Chaco member and any employee from one of Chaco's several partner groups. The union is federally insured through the NCUA. Chaco Credit Union also provides $250,000 of private deposit insurance through Excess Share Insurance. The union provides checking accounts, check cards, savings accounts and loans to individuals and businesses. Chaco provides 24-hour access to accounts through the Internet and phone.
