ThyssenKrupp Budd became a part of Thyssen Krupp Automotive AG of Germany when the companies merged in 1999. The automotive company is one of the largest suppliers in the world with revenues that reach nearly 8 billion Euro annually. ThyssenKrupp Budd operates 30 facilities throughout North America and is an employer of approximately 10,000 people. It specializes in the design and manufacture of products using materials that include multiple grades of steel, sheet-molded composites, aluminum, graphite, ductile and gray iron. Its products are found on more than 100 vehicle models sold in North America. ThyssenKrupp Budd, which maintains operations in Van Wert, Ohio, has annual revenues that exceed $2.5 billion.
