State-Wide Concrete Pumping has been proudly serving Columbus and Central Ohio for more than 50 years. The founder of our Company, James C. Kirkwood, came to Columbus, Ohio in 1971 with one small trailer mounted concrete pump, a pick-up and a dream of providing a better way to place concrete from point A to point B. During this time, contractors were using cranes and buckets, wheelbarrows, and buggies. Trying to change the way Central Ohio contractors had been doing things for years was not going to be easy. Using this new method of placing concrete would be more precise, save time, manpower and most importantly, save them money. With the purchase of our first boom pump in October of 1971, placing concrete became even more cost effective for the contractor. Although pumping concrete may be an additional cost to the project, it may actually save you money in the end. Using the right size pump for the right job (i.e. walls, slabs, retaining walls, bridge decks, or super highways) can save time, labor and materials. Jim's dedication to the concrete construction industry has not diminished. What started out as a one-man operation has grown to a company that has 28 employees and 26 concrete pumps, ranging from a 58 Meter down to a small line pump. We also have two conveyors in our fleet of equipment. Saturday Hours by Appointment Only
