Founded in 1972, the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, also known as NEORSD, provides wastewater collection and treatment services to protect the health and environment. Its purchasing department is responsible for the management of the acquisition of materials and services required to sustain the operations of the district. The district deals with several planning, engineering studies and information technology projects. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District has worked on several projects that include Big Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation, Bryden-Farnsleigh Intercommunity Relief Sewer, Cuyahoga Valley Interceptor Operational Evaluation and Inspection and Mill Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation. It administers various household hazardous waste programs. The district also operates a customer service department.
