Mercer Elementary School
Founded in 1952, Mercer Elementary School serves more than 50 students in kindergarten through grade four. The school, along with its parent-teacher association, organizes various extracurricular activities, including an annual fun run, carnivals, festivals, environmental clubs and activities, food and clothing drives, junior great books programs, peer mediation activities and a student council. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies and language arts, including reading, writing, listening and speaking. In addition, Mercer Elementary School conducts classes in physical education, art, music and research skills. Its staff includes a librarian, nurse, special education teacher, ancillary personnel, paraprofessionals and kindergarten teachers. Mercer Elementary School is a part of Shaker Heights Schools. The school is located in Cleveland.
