The Lorain County JVS was established in 1971 and provides career development programs for both the high school and adult populations of Lorain County in Ohio. Located on a more than10-acre campus in Oberlin, Ohio, it caters to over 1,000 high school students and nearly 4,000 adults. The facility offers high school students a wide range of career and technical programs, including building trades, business & marketing, culinary, manufacturing, pre-engineering and transportation. Additionally, it offers satellite programs to more than 500 students in over 10 associate school districts. The satellite programs include network communications technology, consumer and family science, teacher education exploration, career connections and career-based intervention. The adult training center at Lorain County JVS offers full-time career development programs, career enhancement and special interest courses. It also offers online courses for professional and personal development, graduate credit courses and career certificate programs.
