Founded in 1938, the Joy Outdoor Education Center is a summer camp for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It also serves schools, families, businesses and organizations. The center operates meeting, overnight and dining facilities. The Joy Outdoor Education Center s Agency Camp organizes overnight camp for disadvantaged youths between the ages of 7 and 15. In addition, it conducts family, medical and day camps. It has a staff of teachers, college and medical students and camping professionals. The camp additionally provides an outdoor school program. The Joy Outdoor Education Center is accredited by the American Camps Association and Association of Experiential Education. It has partnerships with the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, Dayton Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau. The Joy Outdoor Education Center is located in Clarksville, Ohio.
