Happy Day School, located in Ravenna, Ohio, provides services to more than 200 students up to 22-years old, who have developmental disorders. On-site services are free for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age enrollees. Instruction in the home or other community setting is an option for children below 3-years with developmental delays. The school is part of the mission of the Portage County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. The board oversees the availability of programs, services and supports individuals with mental retardation and development disabilities. It helps such people live, work and socialize in the community better.
