Established in 1981, Hartville Meadows is a medical center that provides a range of health care services for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. It is a 32-plus-bed intermediate care facility that features a heated indoor swimming pool, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living, dining and activity rooms. The center offers 24-hour skilled nursing, psychiatric evaluation, psychological assessment, treatment planning, program management, training, and physical, occupational and speech therapy services. It additionally provides skills development, laundry and Internet access services, as well as organizes a variety of recreational and social activities. The center also offers transportation services for medical appointments, community outings, and church and resident vacations. It is licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and is certified by the Ohio Department of Health to participate in the Medicaid Program. Hartville Meadows is a part of Hartville Homes, which is a nonprofit corporation that operates residential care facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Ohio.
