Three brothers, Louis, Roger and George Gasser, founded Gasser Chair Company in 1946. It was the first to design and develop aluminum framed seating for the hospitality and entertainment industries. The company also engineered a special, flexible aluminum bracket to connect a seat and backrest. This lead to the development of Gasser's Comfort Zone seating line in the early 1950s and the industry's first engineered, flexible backrest. Gasser Chair Company was also the first to promote casters and swivels on hospitality seating, to provide greater mobility and comfort in dining rooms and lounges. The company manufactures hospitality seating in a variety of styles and types and sells worldwide.
