The Freestore Foodbank, founded in 1971 and located in Cincinnati, offers a wide range of food and clothing services and products to people suffering with natural disasters and low-income group. It provides meals to more than 25,000 people on daily basis. The center also donates and distributes meals in more than 500 nonprofit agencies and over 20 counties. It provides training to volunteer foodbank members about safe food handling, food stamp outreach and fundraising. It also offers guidance to new agencies through the application process, and technical support and guidance with program development and operations. The center additionally organizes health and hygiene program and offers medical aid for cough, cold and flu, and relievers and dietary supplements.
