The Ashtabula County Auditor s Office is responsible for assessing real property for taxing purposes. It is also responsible for the county payroll and has other statutory accounting responsibilities. Additionally, the auditor s office is responsible for the distribution of tax receipts through a settlement process to cities, villages, townships and other governmental subdivisions within the Ashtabula County.
