Dalton Corporation provides gray-iron casting supplies for air conditioning, refrigeration, engines, gearboxes, stationary transmissions, heavy-duty truck transmissions and other applications. The company also manufactures machined components and operates two gray-iron foundries in Warsaw and Kendallville, Ind. It also has a machining facility in Stryker, Ohio. The foundries produce in excess of 200,000 tons of castings each year, which range from five to 600 pounds. Its operation in Warsaw, Ind., was established in 1910 with its first product being a home shoe repair kit. In 1992, Dalton Corporation expanded its business and customer base with the purchase of Newnam Manufacturing and further grew with the ownership of Stryker Machining five years later. Dalton Corporation was acquired by Neenah Foundry Corporation in 1998.
