Bryan Police Department, established in 1942, serves more than 9,000 residents of Bryan, Ohio. The department has a chief, captain, sergeants, patrol officers, police and fire dispatchers, police reserves, leads clerk and secretaries. It offers a Citizen Police Academy that provides instruction in crime scene investigation, firearms, drug unit operations, dispatch operations and traffic enforcement. The department also has a bicycle patrol unit to increase patrol coverage in areas, such as parks, alleys and parking lots. It also offers a community program that increases public involvement in the fight against crime.
