Central State University, established in 1956 and located in Wilberforce, Ohio, is affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church, and is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States. The university offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. It offers a number of subjects, such as English, humanities, history, anthropology, biology, economics and international studies. In addition, it offers other courses, including political science, mathematics, biology, computer science, music, physics and psychology. Central State University also offers a range of sports activities, including basketball, football, golf, tennis, track and field, volleyball and cheerleading.
