Camp Nuhop is a residential summer camp for children with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders. The camp began as a one-week program with eight counselors serving 27 children. It has grown to serve more than 560 children during six weeks. Through application questionnaires and pre-camp conferences, the camp can plan individualized programs to meet the needs of each camper. Camp Nuhop is located in Perrysville, Ohio and offers various facilities to the campers. The facilities include a large dining room and lodge, a smaller lodge used as a classroom, 10 cabins, four shower areas and a staff dormitory. Camp Nuhop is surrounded by the 3,000-acre Mohican Forest and the Pleasant Hill Lake Park providing venues for boating, camping, canoeing, tubing, and hiking. The camp offers wholesome meals and can also arrange special diets before the camp program begins.
