Established in 1933, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio is a nonprofit agency that provides a range of mentoring and camping programs for children and youths. It serves more than 4,500 individuals in Franklin, Delaware and Union counties in Ohio. The agency offers community- and school-based mentoring programs. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio provides Project Mentor, a plan to boost the high school graduation rate in Columbus City Schools in Ohio. Its mentors include corporate volunteers and college and high school students, as well as individuals from the community and faith-based organizations. The agency operates Chase Leadership Academy. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio also owns and operates a residential camp, Camp Oty'Okwa, which offers several summer camping sessions. It is a member of the United Way of Central Ohio, United Way of Delaware County, and American Camping Association.
