The Athenaeum of Ohio offers professional degree programs in theology and is sponsored by Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati. It prepares people to serve the Roman Catholic Church as priests, deacons and lay ministers. The school maintains various divisions that include Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West, the Lay Pastoral Ministry Program and the Special Studies Division. Its divisions offer master's programs in biblical studies and pastoral counseling, as well as support the permanent deacon formation program. The Athenaeum of Ohio operates a library that offers a collection of books and reference and resource materials to students on a range of topics. It employs more than 30 faculty and staff members. The school is located in Cincinnati.
