Founded in 1869, The Art Academy of Cincinnati was known as the McMicken School of Design. It is a part of the Cincinnati Museum Association and a charter member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The academy, located in Cincinnati, serves more than 200 undergraduate and nearly graduate students. It offers various undergraduate degree courses in art history, and fine and communication arts. It also offers an associate of science in graphic design. Additionally, the academy conducts a Master of Arts in art education program for art educators. Its faculty includes professional artists, designers and scholars. Apart from the academic coursework, the academy also offers a variety of recreational activities, such as school trips, holiday parties, academy s soccer games and many other special events.
