The Akron Engineering Bureau provides engineering services to meet the infrastructure needs of the public. It is responsible for the planning, designing and construction of public improvement projects. The bureau works to maintain cooperative working relationships with the public, city council, administration, other city divisions, consulting engineers, utility company representatives, contractors, developers, suppliers, and federal, state and municipal agencies. The Akron Engineering Bureau undertakes a variety of projects, such as street and sidewalk reconstruction; bridge maintenance and reconstruction; parks, playgrounds and athletic fields; and building construction and rehabilitation. In addition, it performs functions related to public utilities, including water, storm and sanitary sewer system improvement. The Akron Engineering Bureau is located in Akron, Ohio.
