Advanced Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) for Human Capital Development, a former intelligence school previously supported by Wright State University, has recently closed its doors and sold its high-tech building in Beavercreek, OH. The spy school, which was created a decade ago with heavy government investment, has dissolved and its former home now operates as a conference center for U.S. government personnel with security clearances.
The ATIC was established in 2009 to provide training in cyber security, counter-terrorism, and understanding intelligence documents. However, financial struggles led to all of its employees being put on Wright State's payroll in 2014. Despite its closure, the building has been fully leased and discussions are underway to backfill the space after a tenant's move in September.
