The Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, also known as HNRCA, is supported by Agricultural Research Service (ARS), which is the chief scientific research agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Its staff is comprised of researchers from Tufts University and Agricultural Research Service. The Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging s scientists are trained in a variety of disciplines, such as nutrition, biochemistry, physiology, epidemiology and molecular biology and work to determine the interrelationships of nutrition, aging and health. It also focuses on improving opportunities for determining critical relationships between nutrition and mental and physical well-being in aging populations.
