Bank of North Dakota s mission is to encourage and promote agriculture, commerce and industry in North Dakota. The bank acts as a funding resource in partnership with other financial institutions, economic development groups and guarantee agencies. The bank is not a member of the Federal Depository Insurance Corporation and its primary deposit base is the state of North Dakota. All state funds and funds of state institutions are deposited, with other deposits accepted from any source, private citizens to the United States government. The banks lending areas include farm irrigations, livestock retention, non-traditional farm income diversification, small business financing, incentive financing for economic development projects and residential real estate financing for secondary markets. Established in 1919, Bank of North Dakota has headquarters in Bismarck, N.D.
