Founded in 1889, Mayville State University is part of the North Dakota University System, and offers undergraduate degrees. Located in Mayville, N.D., it offers majors in several subjects, including biology, business administration, computer information systems, psychology, physical science, library, media and information sciences and sociology. Additionally, the university offers distance education in a wide variety of courses, including bachelor s degrees in business administration, elementary education and early childhood. Mayville State University issues computers to full-time, on-campus students and all faculty members. It also provides Internet connection and network access in all classrooms, library and residence halls. The university has more than 15 clubs and offers over 15 sports activities. Mayville State University has a student-teacher ratio of 15-to-1.
