Woodlawn Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It is a part of the Alamance-Burlington School System, which was founded in 1996 and serves more than 22,400 students in over 30 elementary, middle and high schools. Woodlawn Middle School has received the Excellence in Teaching Award form the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children. The school offers several before- and after-school programs. It organizes a range of sports activities, including football, softball, basketball, volleyball and soccer. The school s academic curriculum includes English, language arts, science, social studies and writing. In addition, it serves breakfast and lunch to students and offers the English as a Second Language program. Woodlawn Middle School is located in Mebane, N.C.
