Wilmington Community Services provides various services to the citizens of Wilmington, N.C. It provides parks and recreation programs and facilities, protects and conserves the natural resources and environment and provides new initiatives and creative programs. Its University Community Relations Tasks Force examines a variety of issues related to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington's impact on Wilmington city neighborhoods. It also makes recommendations to the university and city for action while developing partnerships and shared responsibility for managing these issues. Its e-communities program offers high-speed Internet access, technology awareness and training to all areas of the state. It also offers volunteer opportunities for the citizens.
