The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery is a part of UNC School of Medicine. Established in 1952, it offers services through various divisions, such as otology, neurotology and skull surgeries, facial plastic and reconstructive surgeries, and pediatric otolaryngology, rhinology, allergy and sinus surgeries. The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery also has other divisions that include head and neck oncology and voice and a swallowing disorders treatment division. The department provides a range of clinical programs, such as treatment of ears and hearing disorders, cochlear implants, speech pathology, audiology, and sleep disorders and snoring treatment. The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery is located in Chapel Hill, N.C.
