Trinity United Methodist church was established in 1798. The current church building was erected in 1889 by ship builders Henry and J.N. Daniel with help from church member, S.W. Lehew. The sanctuary features two of the area’s best stained-glass windows, Carolina pine diagonally paneled walls, and a beaded ceiling.
