History
The Body Mechanic started as in-home rehabilitative sessions, with Jeff Wooten as the sole employee. Jeff is a licensed Massage Therapist, Martial Artist, and Fitness Coach. He combined these skills to create an effective session for his clients which included deep breathing body weight exercises followed by deep massage therapy. This was so effective that Jeff decided to open his first studio, in Morrisville, NC. Jeff now has a team that includes Mary Wire, also a licensed Massage Therapist and fitness trainer, and Candace Seidl, a certified Yoga Instructor. Together, they provide rehabilitative massage therapy for their clients, and teach their clients how to keep their bodies 'flexibly strong' using deep breathing and stretching exercises.
Specialties
We specialize in Rehabilitative Massage Therapy and exercise programs. Our mission is to help athletes to prevent injury and to recover from injury. Sports competition injures human bodies. We repair human bodies, and make them stronger and more elastic than before the injuries. Our list of clients includes athletes in running, soccer, tennis, triathlete, basketball, dancing, golf, cycling, martial arts, archery, football, swimming, and volleyball. And because many gyms focus on heavy ballistic movements (using heavy weights, tires, etc) as a means to create hard bodies, many students sustain injuries at these gyms -- the same kinds of injuries sustained in playing sports. Many of these students have come to us, and we have successfully rehabilitated them. So if you have a chronic injury that no one can fix, let The Body Mechanic help you. Please check out our extensive testimonials to see how we have already helped athletes just like you.
