The purpose of the Tarboro Electric Utility is to offer reliable electric service to approximately 11,800 electric customers in Tarboro, N.C. The division performs repair and maintenance to the electric system and constructs new facilities to extend electric service to new customers. Tarboro Electric Utility also performs installation and maintenance of streetlights and area lights.
