Is the tree really close to your home? Is it close enough that the branches are touching your siding? If so, the tree may damage your siding through mold growth. If the tree blocks the sun from reaching a portion of your home, the inside of your home may develop mold, which is costly to fix. If the branches are growing into power lines, it's definitely a hazard, and although it may cost a little extra for hazardous tree removal, it'll definitely be worth it. Dead or hanging branches may fall during severe winds and leave you with roof repair costing thousands of dollars. If the tree is not aesthetically appealing because of the way it's growing, you may want to consider pruning it, which can strengthen your tree and give it a new and healthier look.
