Libby Yee, PNP
I was first inspired to be a pediatrician in the fifth grade because of how much I loved my own. In my nursing career, I have worked in various fields like postpartum, nursery and emergency medicine. All these roads have led me to take care of children as a pediatric provider, which has been very rewarding for me so far. \n Prior to taking on my current role as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care, I worked with Novant Health as a nurse in the pediatric emergency department. While in that role, I helped conduct an asthma pilot study that focused on educating the parents of asthmatic patients. \n I am an advocate of equity in health literacy. My aim is to always be willing to explain things to you so that you can better understand the health and wellness of you and your child. \n I have served on the board of Emergency Nurses Association. I am also a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Pediatric Nurses. \n I am a native Charlottean. I am married to a fellow nurse. My hobbies include traveling, attending concerts, watching movies and ziplining. I also love photography and the culinary arts, including trying new restaurants and experimenting with cooking at home. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering at my local free clinic.
