I was born and raised in Suriname, a small Dutch speaking country, in South America. While obtaining my bachelors degree at Southern Virginia University, I started volunteering with Remote Area Medical (RAM), whose mission was to provide free medical, dental and vision care to underserved areas of Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. While volunteering at the RAM clinics, I was introduced to the Physician Assistant profession, which sparked my interest in Primary Care and Womens Health. I am deeply committed to providing equal access to healthcare in rural communities as well as providing patient-centered care. I currently reside in Raleigh, NC. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and listening to music.
