OpenDoors of Asheville is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating race-based opportunity and achievement gaps for students through education. They work with parents and schools to provide stability, resources, equity, and inclusion to students, ensuring they thrive and reach their full potential. OpenDoors invests in students, parents, and communities, building relationships and connections to create a strong foundation for children to succeed and break the cycle of poverty.
With over 120 students currently enrolled, OpenDoors believes that all children are their responsibility and aims to support them in becoming active and empowered adults who can give back to their communities. They rely on individual donors, sponsors, and community partners to provide services, resources, and financial support. Through their Elevation Fund, Scholar's Circle, and Leadership Level, OpenDoors is able to implement educational interventions and support students on their journey from kindergarten to college.
