History
The Sisters of Mercy have served WNC since 1900, operating the former St. Joseph's Hospital for nearly 100 years until its sale to Mission in 1998. Local, not-for-profit Mercy Urgent Care has cared for more than million patients since 1985 and provides a half million in charity care annually locally and internationally.
