Being exposed to biology, chemistry and advanced math during high school sparked my interest in medicine. I'm proud to be the first person in my family to become a doctor. \n I strive to provide high-quality patient care with an emphasis on promoting optimal health and preventing disease. I believe these goals are best achieved through active listening and partnering with patients - and families, when appropriate - to meet their healthcare needs. \n I am certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), which is a credential beyond state licensure. ABFM certification reflects my commitment to staying current on training and striving to deliver the best care possible. \n As a native Charlottean, it has always been important to me to give back to my community. I've done that through volunteering at a local community clinic and providing healthcare screenings for underinsured and uninsured populations.
