History
On Columbia St. originally, Linda's moved locations in the late 80's to the current area that resides the DOWNBAR which is the downstairs floor of Linda's. The upstairs restaurant area came into being after Linda Williams, the original owner, purchased the building and the previous Sadlak's sandwich shop left. Linda and her Husband Larry operated the business until the eventual sale to Rutland Tyler and Dennis Almond in 2003. Under their ownership Linda's continued uninterrupted ownership for nearly 8 years. In the summer of 2011 after 35 years of proving that Linda's would continue to be a staple of the Chapel Hill bar scene it was purchased by Christopher Carini. After a 2 week hiatus and refurbishments a plenty, the much needed face lift of Linda's Bar and Grill ushered in a new group of bar loving regulars, and continued growth for a new era.

Linda's Bar and Grill is an American style bar with great food. Established in 1976 there is a rustic feel that is comfortable and well worn in. We have a ever evolving beer selection consisting of 15 drafts (with many local brews) and 20 bottles, wine, and delicious cocktails from our full bar. We have chef driven but inexpensive, simple, delicious food, and we use local ingredients in our cooking whenever available. We accept people as they are and always welcome new faces.
