In general, I've found physicians to be competent and knowledgeable. It's the ones who demonstrated kindness and empathy - especially in difficult situations - that distinguished themselves in my mind. They shared a respect not only for their patient and family, but for their fellow physicians and nurses. That's the physician I try to be. \n I want my interactions with you to be thoughtful, direct and not feel rushed. I want there to be a high degree of humanity, and I want you to feel like my attention is entirely focused on you. \n In addition to caring for patients, I've chaired the obstetrics and gynecology department at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center since 2018. In 2008, I was named physician of the year at CMC-Pineville. \n I am married to Kelly Meek, who is also a doctor. Our family includes our three kids, Meredith, Caroline and Cooper, and two dogs. I'm a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
