Recess is a treasured time for all our students, and we go out in all types of weather, including hot, cold, dry, and wet!

Students receive weekly computer science lessons beginning in 3rd grade. Computer science is one of six cultural education subjects at GMS.

Greensboro Montessori School is part of the Independent School League (ISL) competing in cross country, soccer, and flag football each fall.

A 5th and 6th grader use clay during a math assignment. Integrating the arts into core curricula is a standard practice in our classrooms.

Our indoor and outdoor Toddler environments encourages freedom of movement, an atmosphere of respect, and the growth of independence.

A preschool student receives a lesson on the units of ten using tactile materials designed by Dr. Maria Montessori.

Established in 1974, The Greensboro Montessori School is an educational institution that serves pre-kindergarten, lower and upper elementary and middle school children between the ages of 18 months and 14 years. Its middle school curriculum offers liberal arts courses for middle school students, including visual arts and Spanish language and culture.
