Specialties
I am a 100% disabled Gulf War Veteran, one of my proudest accomplishment was serving my country. Due to my war related disability I had to leave the Army in 1993, that is when I started and developed my own art form called layered dot art work to deal with PTSD. I paint on any material surface, and I use acrylic paint. It is one dot applied at a time on top of each other using a regular paint brush very time consuming and extremely therapeutic. I was initially prescribed medication for PTSD in 1993 and I took them for about three years before I couldn't handle the side effects any longer. 19 years later the side effects are still showing up and I now have servier neuropathy in both legs that on some days leave me wheelchair bound. Today I do not take any medications for my PTSD I have been doing this for 25 years and have enjoyed traveling around the country going to Military bases and showing other Veterans and military personnel this very different approach to dealing with PTSD with Art therapy instead of taking harmful medications with serious side effects.
