The Goldsboro Fire Department operates under the government of the city of Goldsboro, N.C., and provides fire protection and emergency medical response services to residents. The department has a fleet of ambulances and tankers. The Goldsboro Fire Department responds to more than 2,700 fire and service calls, as well as over 5,000 rescue calls every year. The department employs nearly 95 firefighters and volunteers and operates several fire stations. It also provides training and educational programs for general safety, emergency response and life saving techniques. The Goldsboro Fire Department conducts several in-house training sessions. In addition, the department offers fire suppression, rescue and support services.
